Americas Global Foundation
Mission is to:
To Train Tomorrow's Hispanic & Latinamerican Leaders Today
To address and offer solutions to major needs and challenges impacting Hispanics
in the United States, and Latin America. To contribute to their economic,
educational, and political empowerment by: Removing barriers and glass ceilings
              which deny just benefits and rewards; Bridging our rich diverse cultural gaps;
and Building an economic and cultural "Superhighway" linking the Americas.

"Some people may not want to lead others.
If you decide not to lead, then you have to
follow the lead of others

Who are we?
Americas Global Foundation (AGF) is a 501(c)(3) NGO, nonpartisan, think-tank organization based in Washington, DC.
Our membership includes highly motivated professionals, community leaders and average individuals. We are proud of and stress Hispanic representation from each and all Latin American countries and other communities. We establish strategic partnerships with ethnic groups and entities. All of this presents a synergy of opportunities and rewards for anyone willing to invest their resources in cooperation to accomplish these goals.

The Americas Foundation is now Americas Global Foundation

What differentiate us?
Our Foundation is Hispanic / Latin American driven, open to everyone. We work to overcome the wasteful historic polarization and divisions existing among our rich diverse ethnic communities and countries; and the myriad of challenges we face in the US and in our hemisphere. We accomplish our Foundation's mission through four arms: 1) programs and projects, 2) legislative advocacy, 3) special events, and 4) our media channels: our Hemispheric Forum TV program, website and newsletter, soon to be a weekly newspaper. Our most ambitious projects are to implement our “Empowerment -Agents of Change” and “La Casa de las Americas in Washington.”
AGF works to bring together Hispanic/Latinos
regardless of country of origin along with non-Hispanics who understand the great benefits of working as a team. AGF also works to enhance and build business, economic, and cultural relationships with the Latin American and Caribbean people.
AGF works to bring Hispanic/Latinos into the "main stream" of American life without losing their rich cultural roots. AGF believes that Hispanic/Latinos should acquire strong English language and all other needed skills to be able to reach their full potential in the United States.
Specifically, AGF has been and will continue to implement unique programs and events in different areas such as: free trade initiatives and activities; supporting the Free and Fair Trade Area of the Americas (FFTAA); job training and job placement programs for Hispanic/Latinos and other minorities; ACOLTWORK, AILD, AFIEN programs; Speaker Series on the "Economic and Political Importance of South and Central America to the US" on Capitol Hill; Civil Society programs in Latin America.

United Hispanic/Latinos, “Critical Mass” Drive
Hispanics have been and will continue to be the fastest growing community and market in the United States. The US Census say that Hispanics will be 25% of the population by 2050. Thus, one of our main goals is building a strong “critical mass” of Hispanic and non-Hispanics throughout the United States, Latin America/Caribbean, regardless of country of origin and other conditions. We believe that a critical mass of Hispanics in the US can be a bridge, a unifying vehicle of change and empowerment throughout the US and Latin America. We send over $15 billion a year in remittances “aid” back to our countries.
We invite organizations to join us in strategic alliances. We call upon the private sector to show their corporate social responsibility they owe to these important and fast growing markets. Help us help you and many many others. Please fill out our Foundation’s Membership Application and send it back with your payment. And or send us your tax deductible donation to continue working for you, for what is best for all.

Recognition and Achievements
We work aggressively studying, researching and offering sound solutions on specific unique empowerment programs to strengthen education and economic development, social justice, equal opportunities, fairness and democracy in the region. Through our intensive work and accomplishments since 1991, our Foundation has achieved substantial recognition and has established on-going strong relationships with members of the US Congress, The White House, Federal agencies, multilaterals and other NGOs, as well as the private sector and Latin American / Caribbean countries. Our Foundation has actively engaged and been called upon by The White House, members of Congress, officials of the Department of State and other Federal agencies as an expert on Hispanic affairs and Latin American/Caribbean affairs.

Background

Historically, the over thirty-million strong Hispanic Latinos in the U.S. have lacked an all embracing organization to serve their collective needs. Except perhaps for the Cuban American National Foundation organization, which has a limited focus, no organization to date has been able to surmount the divisions and polarization separating Hispanic Latin-Americans by their country of origin. The result of this condition has been great losses in terms of economics, and hemispheric solidarity both for the United States, and Latin American nations alike. Hispanic/Latinos, as a group, have not realized their just representation in, and sharing of the American economic and educational opportunities. Many of us at AGF have lived and experienced personally the barriers, discrimination, lack of equal opportunities, and injustices of said conditions, including by Hispanic/Latinos themselves. At AGF we have researched and understand the reasons and idiosyncrasies for this unacceptable situation. By channeling our studies, experiences and know-how, we have developed unique strategic plans to provide positive solutions to empower the Hispanic/Latino community to lift itself out of its current conundrum and reap the benefits, opportunities, and promises which has blessed other immigrant groups.

Some of our Accomplishments to date

The following are some of the programs, projects and events the Foundation has accomplished to date and or which continually is working on:

Why outreach to Hispanic Latinos?

• Hispanics are the fastest growing ethnic community in the United States. Within four years Hispanics will be the largest ethnic minority in the United States. Hispanic youth, as of mid-1998, outnumber Blacks.
• Hispanics continue to lack fair representation at top decision making levels in government and business.
• Bringing Hispanics into the "main stream" of American life will increase productivity and disposable income benefiting society in general.
• Historically Hispanics have and will continue to substantially contribute to the economic vitality and growth of the U.S.
• It is a sound business decision that benefits all segments of society. The Americas Foundation invites you to demonstrate your social responsibility supporting AGF to implement its mission and goals.

La Casa de las Americas in Washington® offers a synergy of opportunities to anyone and everyone.
