The Washington Ballet Asked TAF to Help Its Fundraising Gala -Reportedly $1.2 million

Mr. Martin D. Cohen, the Executive Director of The Washington Ballet and the Gala Chair, Dr. Carlotta Miles, graciously asked the help of the President/ Founder of The Americas Foundation -recognizing its unique Hemispheric standing- to lead the effort to seek and secure the involvement of a South American Ambassador, his/her spouse, and his/her country to be the limelight at their Annual Spring Gala 2000.

Victor Pinzon  worked hard and focused for about 60 days in the process and logistics to identify and select a South American country’s Ambassador and his/her spouse to be the Honorary Chairs of the prestigious The Washington Ballet Annual Spring Gala,Tuesday, April 25, 2000 at The Kennedy Center of The Performing Arts. The Honorary Chair was required to lend his/her good offices, financial support and center of influence.

NOTE   Pinzon's significant efforts and ingenuity, finally engaging Ambassador Alfredo Toro Hardy of Venezuela to The White House to accept the prestigious position, helped The Washington Ballet to raise a reported amount of $1.2 million at their Gala. About 50 senior government officials, entepreneurs, private sector executives, artist and others were invited directly from Venezuela for the Gala. The event was a thorough success.

In the event you have a question or suggestion, or your organization seeks the expert assistance in fundraising or event planning management please contact Victor Pinzon at TAF.
